Robyn Started the band in 2016 to perform her EP , Robyn Plays Trumpet , guitar ,sings and keys.
Robyn began playing the cornet age 8 unit she was 15 , after learning she was a jazz musician in her late 20's Robyn joined a Beginners big band .
Growing up in rural suffolk `Robyn did not know there were other musicians like her, and fans who would appreciate her style.Upon moving to london Robyn learned how wide the musical spectrum and Audience is.
Robyn Steward and the Hatonauts are on hiatus right now ( as we could ;t find enough trumpet players) , Robyn Steward and the Hatonauts were 5 trumpets and 1 keyboard player, the band played a number if gigs including the southbank centre and mint street festival. First taking up the Trumpet age 17, Andrew never got the chance to show his talent and musicality until his first gig ( also the Hatonauts first gig) at the southbank centre in london.
Andrew is in a big band at Morley college, he is learning saxophone, keyboards and guitar , he can also sing.
Andrew is a Actor and model , he has done a great many things in his life including being a photographer , working as a radio producer and he wrote a book about comedy.
Andrew has seen many of the great Jazz musicians such as Duke Ellington, Dizze Gillspe and many more.He is also a big Gong Fan,
Toby started playing the Trumpet when he was young , he is a passionate campaigner on disability rights, he has hemiplegia which is a type of cereal palsy and plays a adapted trumpet , like Robyn Toby is Autistic.
Toby has recently started playing Trumpet through guitar effect pedals.
Outside of the band Toby is in the Navadina Community Choir.
Rob is originally from Tasmania in Australia, he runs a storytelling business, and also can code in many computer languages.
Rob is a extremely passionate and talented musician, playing Drums, keys , bass, guitar ,ukulele and he can sing!
Rob also has his own band " The Unexpected Guests". Rob does a lot of work with a organisation called Heart N Soul who help artists with Learning Disabilities and Autism to develop their talents..
Ella played with us on our first gig before she moved to Salford for university .
Ella plays Trumpet , keys, sings and guitar . She is currently working on a solo project at the roundhouse.
Ella is also in the unexpected guests.

In January 2016 Robyn went to a Gig with Andrew Foster in Brixton , and saw Spaceheads for the first time.
Space heads are a duo of Andy Diagram on Trumpet through Electronics and Richard Harrison on drums and percussion.
This was the first time Robyn had seen someone play trumpet through effects in a computer and a guitar pedal .
Andy's playing made sense to Robyn in a way that other Trumpet players didn't. Robyn decided they must be from the same planet ( satin perhaps?)
Andy believed in Robyn's music so much he volunteered to mix and master her EP , Andy encouraged her.He provided great technical advice.
Andy also plays with James ( the band) and David Thomas and the 2 pale boys,He has also toured with Nico.
Mark is CEO of a charity called Heart N Soul. Heart N Soul work with Autistic artists and artists with learning disabilities. Heart N Soul has been running for 30 years , and Mark started it because he could see that people with learning disabilities had talent and got a ;pt out of music , drama and the arts ,Mark and co founder Pino Frumiento received MBE's in 2010 for the work they have done.
Mark is an amazing person he has great empathy positivity and sees the value in everyone, Mark also is very good at learning to understand people, and communicating. and listening.Without Mark there would be no Hatonauts,
Mark as helped numerous artists find their voice, and learn that they can do what they want to do. He has helped Lizze Emeh to be the first musician with a learning disability to release a album, and helped Dean Rodney work with 32 musicians in 7 countries. Heart N Soul Website

Nicola is a teacher and took up the trumpet three years ago. she has played in the South London concert band, scratch orchestras and now enjoys playing with Morley College Big Band beginners. She played with us between January and July 2017.
Dr Andy Hall
Andy is Robyn;s Trumpet teacher , he has a phd in composition from Brunel university .
As well as being a very skilled musician , in many of the top wedding bands , and forming his own band Arcadio , Andy is very good at teaching people with special needs.
Robyn has had many trumpet teachers, Andy is the person she has stuck with for the longest.
He is always open to new ideas and letting Robyn guide what they cover in a lesson, he gives very encouraging feedbackHe does does not make assumptions about what will be easy or difficult for someone, this is a great quality as a teacher as it means he can adapt himself to any one.
Andy encouraged Robyn to put her music out in the world and without this encouragement there would be no EP and no Band.
Mark has a wonderful smile and radiants warm positive energy .
Robyn first met Mark at a JJ cale Tribute night, it was the first time Robyn had seen a drummer with brightly coloured brushes, ( Robyn has a visual impairment and bright colours are easier to see), enthused Robyn went to a music shop to ask about the brushes, they explained Mark was probably a jazz drummer, and sold her a jazz book. This was how Robyn Learned that she was a Jazzer. He Has played in many top venues and festivals around the world (. Mark plays with the prog rock band Caravan.Mark has a degree in teaching children with serve learning disabilities and so had already had experience of Autism before meeting Robyn.Mark was very supportive and willing to accept Robyn as she was and encouraged her to explore herself musically .
When Robyn first joined the `Morley College Beginners Big Band Tony's first conversation with Robyn was to ask he how Autism affects her , and he told her about someone he used to teach who was Autistic.
Tony believed in Robyn and worked with her to improve her confidence as well as reading big band charts. Robyn made huge progress under Tony;s guidance , Tony has recently retired from Morley college after over 30 years , Tony is passionate about Music and he is passionate about support people to enjoy music as he has done.
In 2014 he was awarded a MBE for his services to music education.
In 2014 I attended a workshop Adam ran on improvisation , in a very short amount of time Adam taught me how to improvise, he was ope minded and did not see my disabilities as a barrier to making music or learning new things , evan if I learn slower and differently , improvisation is key to the work I have done subsequently , and has enabled music to be part of my living and connect to people whom I otherwise would not have.
Adam has his own band The Alter Jazz ensemble,
